LVN LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSES by Kitima Sourannavong

Kitima and her daughter

I want to study to be a LVN because I like to help people when they are sick.

LVNs provide care to the patient on a very personal level. They are responsible for taking vital signs, monitoring patients' intake and output of food and liquids, treating common problems such as bedsores, and performing several procedures such as dressing wounds, bathing, and dressing. LVNs perform diffucult procedures such as starting intravenous fluids.

Usually LVNs report to or work directly with Physicians or RNs and frequent direct contact with patients to help them deal with their illness.
